Back in 2012, I had an idea : would it be possible to use an app on a mobile phone to level a Camper? Some phones back then already had hardware sensors, so I searched on Google Play store if someone else had come up with this brilliant idea.
Search result : 0 apps.
So I decided to develop it myself : while commuting between work and home, I completely thought through the logic of the app and in the evenings and weekends I built my very first leveler app, including all graphics and icons. As that worked, I also created a version for Caravans.
That was in 2012.
Since then, Camper and Caravan enthusiasts all over the world (27 countries, and counting) are using the apps and have provided valuable feedback by e-mail and in the Google Play Store. Based on that feedback, I added changes, features, fixes and improvements.
But the base leveler logic is still the same.
In the meantime, my idea has been copied a few times, even by a big company in the camping industry. I consider that as a big compliment: apparently my idea was brilliant enough to copy 😉
But a copy is still a copy.
